Peter Morphew
Peter has spent eight months documenting the artist Abraham Underwood
at work. “I found his sheer determination and enthusiasm
fascinating.” Working in mainly watercolours and charcoal
drawing, his bright compositions reflect Abrahams’ bright
personality. Abraham Underwood will be in attendance in the castle
grounds for the duration of a day, in the run up to the opening.
His intimate collection of films bring art education new life and
reinvention, and he will be there to give advice and guidance.
Abraham is a Dorset amateur artist who simply enjoys being creative.
This is a new environment for Abraham, and he will respond accordingly.
But he is a very normal artist so will hold no surprises.

Peter Morphew
graduated from the Arts Institute in Bournemouth in 2007. He
is a performance and video artist who lives and works in Bournemouth.
His practice reflects an interest in societal norms by exploring
an interaction with the audience. Constructing situations, which
force direct contact with the viewer, he confronts the roles
of his alter egos.
